Who runs this
Metadata Style Guidelines is a small, independent project operated by OneKindMedia.
Ownership
The site, the checker, the API and the audits are run by OneKindMedia. There is no board, investor or parent platform behind it, and we aren't affiliated with Spotify, Apple, DDEX or any distributor.
How rules get made
- A rule is added only when a published source backs it: a platform style guide, a DDEX standard, the ISRC Handbook or GS1.
- Each rule records its sources; they're shown in guides and reports.
- When a source changes, the rule changes and we log it in the version history.
