AI-Generated Music Rejected or Hidden? What Each Platform Enforces

Updated 2026-10-21 · 6 sources

Short answer

None of the major stores covered here bans AI music outright. What gets AI tracks rejected or hidden is how they're presented: impersonating a real artist's voice without authorization, misleading titles or artist names, spam patterns (mass uploads, near-duplicates, very short tracks) and inaccurate disclosure. Declare AI use honestly (DDEX ContainsAI None, Partly or All), credit generated parts by role, and keep generation records.

What each platform says

  • Spotify bars vocal impersonation unless the impersonated artist has authorized it, and its spam filter targets mass uploads, duplicates, SEO tricks and short tracks [1]. AI credits are optional and per role [2].
  • Apple Music hides content designed to mislead, including using AI in a misleading manner, and requires that AI processing not degrade cover art [3].
  • Deezer detects fully AI-generated tracks itself, labels the albums and excludes them from recommendations [4].

Disclosure in the delivery

DDEX ERN 4.3.2 added ContainsAI with values None, Partly and All [5] [6]. Use the AI disclosure builder, and see how to release AI-assisted music.
